Family pet Rabbit Cages – Keep Your Pet Safe and Secure
Wednesday, January 25th, 2012For quite a long time, most pet rabbits were kept out-door in bunny hutches. On the other hand, in modern years, there were more and more owners who had agreed to the rabbits coming in-door. Kindred bunnies mostly live healthier and longer lives inside.
Whether you intend to keep your pet bunnies in a rabbit cage or a hutch, there are few important things to note. The first is the measurement of the bunny cage. Decide on a bunny cage or a hutch that is almost four times the measurement of your pet rabbits. This way, your pet bunnies will have a lot of space to stretch themselves.
One corner of the hutch or the rabbit cage should be reserved as the toilet area for the pet rabbits. Respect your pet rabbits when they are in the bunny cage. Your pet rabbits may like to play outside the rabbit cage, but it should regard its cage as the safest place of all. It is like going cabin. Consequently, treat your pet rabbits cage with respect.
One of the key elements to be able to toilet-train your pet rabbit is giving him a rabbit cage that he feels comfortable with. If you are able to do that, then you have efficiently completed step one of toilet-training your rabbit.
When we got our first bunny, we placed the pet rabbit cage at the porch as our original plan was to limit the bunny to the porch only. As of today, not only does he get to roam the whole lineage, but our pet bunny had productively conquered one of the family room to be made as their recreation space.
As we make our pet rabbit the master master of his cage, for most of the time he uses the cage as his toilet. There are those occasions when he forgot and dirty some part of the habitation and would get scolding from us.
Slowly, as our bond with our pet rabbit got so strong that we allow him to sleep in our room at day. As pet bunny has strong sense of time, he would frequently get up at 6 am on a daily basis and will jump on the bed to wake me up. This jumping on the bed is also a warning that I will have to let him out to his rabbit cage before he start dropping unwanted material on our bed.
When we adopted another female bunny, there was not enough space at the balcony for two bunny cages and we have to move the two pet rabbit cage into the garden. Then a big surprise came. The female rabbit was pregnant and gave birth to seven adorable little bunnies.
We have to give up five of the bunnies for adoption when they were old enough. As the remaining two bunnies develop more robust, there was inferior cage space for the whole pet rabbit loved ones. We finally bought them a considerable bunny cage that is large enough for all four rabbits.
Nowadays, the pet rabbits like their cage so much that they from time to time think twice to leave the cage.
